I went hiking Tuesday with my friend from the Kingdom Hall, Vickie Coletta, but I forgot to take my camera.

Wednesday Jack and I went hiking in Cheyenne Mountain State Park and I MADE SURE I had the camera lol

One sign reads “You share this park with Native Colorado Wildlife” Here’s the two other signs that made a big impression on me:

Here’s the link to my video I made for Christina:

That Christina was changing things on here…waiting, waiting…sewing mother’s quilts…waiting, waiting…actually knitting again…waiting, waiting

Wow what a week or two I’ve had since I last checked in here.

I am still crazy quilting but not without some bumps and bruises along the way. I was trying to finish up a sample that just wasn’t laying flat due to my lack of foresight…must remember…trim the blocks even before assembling next time stupid….when I hit a bead during freestyle quilting and jammed my precious machine up. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Four days and $65  later I am back at it. Wiser but poorer…the story of my life.

Good thing I got an order out of the blue for 14 bundles of crazy quilt fabric

I finished this one with no problems either

Now for my gripe session…MOMMY KIM GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack went to court Feb 25 again only to see her get off on the contempt count because she made two whole child support payments (late) in a row for Dec and Jan…still nothing for Feb. Then we find out she was in jail in Jan – Feb…hmmmmmmmmmmI guess Lairey made the payments not her. Has she come to see Dakota? No. Has she promised him to come get him two weeks in a row then cancelled? YES! The kid is crushed and Jack and I are highly POd. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Dakota hasn’t seen his mom since Christmas and she keeps putting him off. I just don’t know what to say. I can’t see that cutting her down would help and I can’t find it in my heart to defend her so here I remain…blogging away on MommyCity.com to vent…*sigh

The good news is, it finally snowed! Yay! Too bad it’s all melted lol.

I have been crazyquilting like a madwoman!

I posted these on another blog and I figured maybe ya’ll would like to see them too.

This is the one Christina likes (Nana that’s your fabric on the border):

Another purple that’s already sold (large file let it load):

I almost finished 4 more today…my poor fingers are bleeding from hand sewing binding. Pics when I can get around to it. Here’s the link to my etsy shop….http://CrazyRebecca.etsy.com

Do you hear it? There it is again!

It’s the sound of me beating my head on the wall after the Illini lost to Penn State…BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG

OMG OMG OMG does anyone here besides me watch Illinois baskteball?

They just beat Northwestern by one point in the final seconds after trailing THE WHOLE GAME….someone give me CPR and a shot of whiskey fast!

So I had my first real job in almost three years. Pick yourself up off the floor…it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I spent 48+ hours helping out at a conference at the Crowne Plaza Hotel just south of me on Circle Dr. Very interesting yet by the end I was ready to stick a knitting needle in my eye lol!

At least I was with a friend from back there in Illinois…she lives not too far from Christina actually. We worked like Hebrew slaves for the most part but we got some sightseeing in and lots of girl talk. I’d do it again in a heart beat!

Jack was supportive and did the laundry and had me a home cooked meal waiting when I got home Wednesday night….ah…nothing like a good house-husband!

Yes…I stayed at my post but I had to knit to keep from going crazy.

Christina I am uploading a new video for you (hee hee)

This is not a happy post. if you are already depressed you may want to look for better stuff to read elsewhere.

I had a disturbing phone call from my sister last night. it’s never good when someone starts out “I have bad news.” Seems she and her husband got a phone call from a friend back in Illinois about another friend of all ours in Myrtle Beach who committed suicide. This person was my first real BF, Richard Andreson, from Rossville Illinois. After my sister called I got a call from Cheryl who was in my class in high school…she lives just 20 miles north of me up in Monument. She was  crying about this and I was still so stunned I wasn’t much help to her.

Wow…want to hear a coincidence? Earlier yesterday I was re-typing my security questions on my credit card website and one of them was “What was your first boyfriend’s/girlfriend’s name?” I actually said outloud “Rick Anderson” then three hours later I hear he’s dead….absolutely weird eh?

This completes my triad of Death…Morgie (Mike Morgeson), Ralph Rainey, from Alabama whom I met when I lived in Florida, now Rick…..Let’s hope death takes a holiday for a good long time now.

My neighbor gave me an amaryllis bulb as a thank you gift because, as she put it, “Jack always comes running to help us whenever we call!”

I potted that puppy up and put it in a warm place and check out the magic!

I would tell you how nice and warm and sunny it’s been here but you probably don’t want to hear it.

I know Cindy has joined me here already…I’m inviting all knitters who haven’t to check out ravelry.com.

Want free patterns? BINGO! Want questions about knitting and crochet answered? BINGO! Want a place to show off your finished objects? BINGO!  Want reviews of yarns, books, recipes, anything and everything ?….BINGO!!!!

You have to send your email and wait for an invitation to join but it’s worth the wait.

The Swirling Gauntlets were from the Obscuriosity KAL ….free pattern. If you can do cables and read charts and don’t mind ripping back a few times these are the fingerless gloves for you lol!
