I have been BUSY BUSY BUSY…I have been sewing, knitting and some other stuff too. That’s why I haven’t been online much lately. Winter is fast approaching and I’ll be around more (probably).
Here is a short list of what I’ve accomplished lately
1) I made myself a blue hat out of some of the yarn I bought in Kansas on my way back from Illinois

2) I got the evil quilt blocks assembled and a border put on. I think I’ll go with the chili pepper fabric for the back if I can’t find anything else I like better this weekend.

3) Working on gray knee socks to wear with a couple of skirts

4) The blue crazyquilt is done except for the sleeve on the back to hang it and a few more buttons to hold it together

5) Cotton Yosemite Sweater from Knitty.com coming along nicely…I had this yarn in my stash from a Goodwill find….Wow I am seeing a blue theme develop here!

6) My stupid stupid cabled jacket is going to be too small….grrrrrrrrrr! I am determined to finish it. I’ll probably give it to my friend Vickie (she was here when my mom died)

So now you know about 1/2 of what I’ve been up to. More later…..

Have you ever made socks with circular needles? Have you read the Debbie McComber books? She has a knitting group series also some patterns on her web site. Wish you were closer so we could share patterns and catch up on old times! Your quilts are awsome…wish I had the time also lover your knitting!

I got a book from the library for socks with circulars but it seemed harder than just using double points. One of these days I may take a class for the magic loop method. I wish we lived closer too!

My lands……you are one busy lady!!! I just picked up the framed Quilt hanging you made for me. I had Michael’s frame it for me and it is on a lite blue background and medium blue frame….under glass of course. I just love it.
OK have a dumb question….. what are those pencil type things you have at the end of the knee socks – some type of stitch holder? Have never seen them before. I noticed you had them on the socks you showed me when you were in the ‘flatlands’. Also what type of yarn are you using for the knee socks. I suppose you’ve made up your own pattern….you’re sooooooo talented.
